Patricia Arriola
Patricia Arriola, studio portrait
Patricia Arriola is a contemporary artist whose work explores the boundaries between material presence and visual memory. Working primarily in oil, gold leaf, and monotype printmaking, her practice inhabits the space where pigment becomes thought — where the physical act of painting opens into something less tangible.
Her paintings are quiet but insistent. Surfaces built through accumulation and erasure, they hold traces of gestures that have passed through — light absorbed and reflected, texture as memory, color as duration.
Arriola has exhibited internationally, with recent solo and group presentations in Barcelona, Istanbul, Mexico City, and Sardegna. Her work is held in private and institutional collections in more than twelve countries.
